As we approach the end of another extraordinary year at Manningham Housing Association, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve had. The dedication and commitment from everyone in the MHA family have truly made 2023 a year to remember.
Our dedication to innovation has been at the forefront, driving progress across every facet of our organisation. The launch of our Digital Business Strategy marked a significant step forward, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of technological advancements to better serve our community.
With sadness we say a fond farewell to our amazing Chair, Barrington Billings who has helped steer us to success over the last seven years and say a warm welcome to Rupert Pometsey who has joined us as our new Chair. Our Community Development Strategy has been the heartbeat of our efforts. The various initiatives, from the JUMP project to our active participation in National Inclusion Week, have showcased our unwavering dedication to building a stronger, more connected community.
Your enthusiasm and engagement in these events have truly made a positive impact. This year, we didn’t just stop at innovation and community development; we redefined our Corporate Strategy to align with our evolving identity.
Our new Mission, Vision, Values, and Logo are guiding us towards a future where innovation and community thrive hand in hand. And let’s not forget the exciting additions to our housing portfolio as we’ve acquired 13 new homes and transformed existing ones with shiny new kitchens, bathrooms, doors, and windows as part of our major repairs programme. Our collective efforts have not gone unnoticed.
I am immensely proud to share that we were shortlisted for multiple awards, including recognition for our approach to diversity and inclusion, community initiatives, and our board’s impact on inclusion.
Also, we’ve secured the ISO 30415 accreditation for HR Management – Diversity & Inclusion, reinforcing our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace.” Our success is not just about strategy and achievements; it’s about the people who make it all possible. Celebrating the achievements of our dedicated team members, from Sajid’s 30 years and Tracie’s 25 years as impressive service milestones to Salma Khatun’s well-deserved Tenant of the Year award, reinforces the incredible talent within our MHA family. I am thrilled to announce a significant achievement on the financial front.
We successfully amended and restated our £48 million loan facility, securing our financial stability and paving the way for an even greater impact in the years to come. As we bid farewell to 2023, let’s carry this momentum into the new year.
Our Housing Innovation Awards in the 2024 nominations are a testament to our continuous pursuit of excellence. Being shortlisted in the ‘Most Innovative Approach to Culture and Wellbeing’ and ‘Best Digital Experience (Landlords)’ categories is an honour we all share.
Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and continued support. Manningham Housing Association is more than an organisation; it’s a family, and each one of you plays a vital role in our success. Here’s to a brilliant 2024 filled with new milestones, shared successes, and continued growth.
Best Regards,
