Major refurbishment of Manningham Housing Association HQ set to begin

Manningham Housing Association (MHA) will close its head office on Manor Row in Bradford next Thursday (18 December) until next summer whilst it undergoes a major refurbishment programme.

However, MHA customers can still visit the team by appointment at a new temporary base at Anchor Court until the works are complete.

Lee Bloomfield, MHA Chief Executive, said:

“Our current headquarters, a Grade II listed building, has served the local community for many years but now requires essential modernisation to remain safe, accessible and fit for the future.

“The upgrades will improve accessibility for tenants and visitors, including those with mobility or other access needs, and create a more welcoming reception and private meeting spaces, together with modernised staff areas to support hybrid and digital ways of working.

“The changes will also deliver numerous other benefits such as enhanced energy efficiency and sustainability, helping to reduce running costs and lessen the impact on the environment.”

MHA’s headquarters will be closed all day on Thursday 18 December while staff move out and there will be no face-to-face appointments.  Calls on that day to the main office number – Tel: 01274 771144 – will be diverted to the association’s out-of-hours service, ensuring urgent support is still available.

The temporary office at Anchor Court, BD8 8JF will be open from Friday 19 December by appointment only for tenants and visitors.  Tenants who need to see someone in person will be asked to contact MHA first to arrange a suitable time.

Nadim Khaliq, MHA Head of Housing Services, said:

“We want to reassure tenants that while the building is changing, our commitment to them is not.

“Services will carry on as usual – they can still reach us by phone, online and by appointment. Repairs, housing management and support services will also continue as normal.

“By refurbishing now, we’re protecting a key community asset, improving accessibility and making sure we can deliver services in a modern, efficient way.”
