The unprecedented levels of racist rioting and violence across the UK over the past week have been utterly deplorable and unacceptable. The racist violence and intimidation have made minority communities feel less safe going about their daily lives.
As a BME-led community housing association, MHA works across both BME and non-BME communities to promote inclusivity and address inequalities and we understand why recent events have caused people to be frightened.
We believe that hate will never win, and we will not be divided by acts of aggression and intimidation against members of the Muslim and wider BME community. As always, we will stand in solidarity and support our tenants, staff, and community in such worrying times.
