Simon Ellis, board member

Simon is a chartered accountant with over 25 years of experience and is currently the director of special projects at Housing Solutions, a large housing association based in Berkshire.

In recent years Simon has worked with a number of housing associations, including Leeds Federated.

Prior to that Simon worked for many years as an associated director at large accountancy practices including Grant Thornton and BDO, working mainly from Leeds and London, specialising at various times in audit & accountancy, advisory & restructuring and fraud investigations together with secondments at the corporate turnaround division of Barclays Bank and leading a restructuring team in Jersey.

Simon has previously acted as a Town Councillor and school governor in Horsforth, where he lives. In his spare time, Simon is a keen athlete, running for Leeds City AC on the road, track and cross country.
